What Should I Expect?
Dr. True and Clinvest are seeking motivated adolescent volunteers between ages 12-18 in the Springfield area. The purpose of this research study is to determine the effectiveness of an oral investigational pill, taken every other day, for the prevention of chronic migraine. Qualified volunteers will be randomized to study treatment or placebo. Completion of the study would involve coming into the office for 9 appointments over an approximate 24-week period with the option to participate in a 40-week open-label extension afterwards. Your first appointment would last approximately 3 hours. If you continue to qualify, you will be asked to maintain a daily diary for the duration of the study and attend all study visits.
