We are searching for Springfield area applicants to participate in a clinical research study to potentially improve options for those diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The goal of this study is to assess an investigational medication for Rheumatoid Arthritis. If you’ve ever wished there were more treatment options, then we ask for your help in researching this possibility!
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
We are seeking volunteers 18+ with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the effects of a study medication compared to a TNFa inhibitor (Enbrel or Humira). Qualified volunteers with be randomly assigned to received study medication or either Humira or Enbrel. Study visits would involve coming into the office twice in the first month and then every 12-24 weeks thereafter until the end of the study. The study is estimated to last 2.5 to 5 years. Your first appointment would last approximately 2 hours with follow-up visits lasting around 1 hour. Study medication would be provided, as well as all study-related procedures, at no cost to you (including basic study-related physical exams, bloodwork, ECG’s, and urine drug/pregnancy tests). Compensation will be provided for your time and travel.
