Dr. True and Clinvest are seeking motivated research volunteers in the Springfield area. The purpose of this research study is to determine if oral, once daily, LY3502970 is non-inferior to injection, once-daily insulin glargine in participants with risk factors related to their cardiovascular system, which consists of heart, kidneys, and arteries. Qualified volunteers will be randomly (1:1) selected to the oral or injectable medication. Completion of the study would involve coming into the office for at least 25 appointments over an approximate 104-week period including additional follow-up visits based on the program's progress. Your first appointment would last approximately 2 hours. If you continue to qualify, you will be asked to return to the clinic within two weeks for glucometer training, diary training, and to schedule an eye exam.
